Nephroscan is a kit for the preparation of Technetium Tc 99m Succimer Injection, which is used as a radiopharmaceutical. It comes in 5 single-use vials, each containing a specific amount of the drug ingredients. The drug must be stored in the original container at a temperature range of 2° to 8°C and must not be frozen. After radiolabeling, store the drug upright in appropriate shielding, at 20° to 25°C with excursions permitted, but it must not be used and discarded 4 hours after reconstitution. Only licensed health care professionals trained in the safe use of radionuclides should use radiopharmaceuticals. The recommended dosage can be found in the prescribing information.
