This is a description of a medication called Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection. It is a solution with a concentration of 0.25%, containing 125 mg of the active ingredient per 50 mL (25 mg per mL). It is intended for use in infiltration and nerve block procedures, but not for caudal, epidural, or spinal anesthesia. The medication is supplied in a 1x50mL multiple-dose vial. Each mL of the solution contains 2. mg of bupivacaine hydrochloride, along with methylparaben and sodium chloride in water for injection. The pH of the solution is adjusted with sodium hydroxide, hydrofluoric acid, or hydrochloric acid. The dosage information is provided in the package insert. The medication should be stored at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F), with excursions permitted between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). It is sterile and nonpyrogenic. The container closure does not contain natural rubber latex.*
