Biotronix Healthcare’s CHLORA-CLEANZE Proprep-| Applicators are a patient pre-op skin preparation solution containing 2% w/v chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) and 70% v/v isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The solution helps in the reduction of potentially harmful bacteria that can cause skin infections prior to surgery. The packaging is sterile if unopened or undamaged, but the solution is non-sterile. The maximum treatment area is 2.5" x 2.5", and the solution should be applied using lateral strokes in both directions for 30 seconds for dry sites and 2 minutes for moist sites. The applicator should be discarded after single use, and remaining solution should not be used. This product should not be used on patients with allergies to Chlorhexidine gluconate or Isopropyl alcohol and shouldn't be used as a general skin cleanser or for open wounds. If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, use should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be contacted. This product is flammable and should be kept away from fire or flame, and not used with electrocautery procedures.*
