Eravacycline is used to treat certain abdominal infections (such as appendicitis, diverticulitis, gastric/intestinal perforation). This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as tetracycline antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections.
