Flumazenil Injection is a USP approved medication distributed by West-Ward Pharmaceutical Corp for IV use only. It is available in a 5mL multiple dose vial containing 0.5 mg/5mL (0.1 mg/mL) of the medication. Each mL of the medication contains 0.1 mg of flumazenil compounded with sodium chloride, edetate disodium and acetic acid, among other compounds. It is recommended to store the medication at temperatures between 25°C (77°F) with excursions between 15° to 30°C (59 to 86°F). It is manufactured by Hikma Farmaceutica in Portugal. The usual dosage is not included and users are required to check the package insert.*

The study measured the magnitude and duration of the reversal of sedation at different Flumazenil doses (0.2, 0.6 & 1 mg). The blood levels of Flumazenil were also measured in ng/mL. The data was collected over several minutes after Flumazenil injection.*
