Terbutaline Sulfate Injection is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, preservative-free, aqueous solution for subcutaneous injection. The single-use vial contains 1mg per ml, and the container closure is not made with natural rubber latex. The usual single dose is one-fourth of the vial contents, and the solution should not be used if it appears discolored. The dosage information is provided in the prescribing information. The solution contains Terbutaline Sulfate, sodium chloride, and hydrochloric acid. The usual dosage is 0.25mg (0.25 ml) injected subcutaneously into the lateral deltoid area. The accompanying package insert provides detailed instructions for use. The solution should be stored at 20 to 25°C (68 to 77°F), protected from light.
