Clindamycin Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution that is available in a 2mL single-dose vial. Each mL contains clindamycin phosphate corresponding to 150 mg of clindamycin, along with 0.5 mg disodium edetate and 9.45 mg benzyl alcohol as a preservative. The solution is intended for IM or IV use, but must be diluted before IV use. The usual dosage is described in the accompanying insert. The solution should be stored at 20-25°C (68-77°F). The medication is manufactured by SAGENT Pharmaceuticals in India, and the lot number and expiration date are indicated on each vial.
