This is a description of an injectable medication called Rocuronium Bromide Injection, USP. It comes in a 5 mL multi-dose vial and contains 50 mg per 1 mL (10 mg per mL) of rocuronium bromide, along with sodium acetate trihydrate and sodium chloride. It must be used intravenously and is a paralyzing agent that can cause respiratory arrest, so facilities for artificial respiration must be immediately available. It is sterile, non-pyrogenic, and preservative-free. It must be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F) and should not be frozen. Once the vial is removed from refrigeration, it should be used within 60 days, while opened vials should be used within 30 days. The usual dose is specified in the package insert.
