Flumazenil Injection is a sterile solution intended for intravenous use only. This solution is available in a 5 mL multi-dose vial that contains 0.5 mg/5 ml (0.1 mg/mL) of flumazenil. It contains 0.1 mg of Flumazenil with compounds such as water, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium chloride, edetate disodium dihydrate, and glacial acetic acid. It is advised to see dosage norms given in the package insert. The solution must be stored at 20°C to 25°C and protected from light and should not be frozen. Baxter Healthcare Corporation based in Deerfield, IL, manufactures it. The product is repackaged by Medlicel Purchasing Solutions and distributed by WQ Secoftodale, AZ 85260.*

This text describes a study on the effects of Flumazenil on sedation produced by midazolam infusion in healthy volunteers. Flumazenil was administered in doses of 0.2, 0.6, and 1 mg and the magnitude and duration of reversal of sedation was measured. The results were given in blood levels in ng/mL, with a level of 15 ng/mL leading to complete alertness. The chart shows the level of alertness over time after injection of Flumazenil.*
