Verapamil HCl Injection, USP is a medication used intravenously and comes in a single dose vial. Each vial contains 5mg/2 ml (2.5mg/mL) of verapamil hydrochloride, along with sodium chloride, and may contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment. The medication should be given slowly over at least a two-minute period of time and unused portion should be discarded. The usual dosage can be found in the package insert. It is important to store the medication at 20 to 25°C (68 to 77°F) and protected from light in its original carton until ready to use.
