This is a package insert for 0.25% Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection, USP. The medication is intended for infiltration and nerve block, however, it is not recommended for caudal, epidural, or spinal anesthesia. The solution contains 2.5 mg/mL bupivacaine hydrochloride, as well as sodium chloride and methylparaben as a preservative. It may also contain NaOH and/or HCl for pH adjustment. It is sterile, nonpyrogenic, and for prescription use only. The recommended storage temperature is between 20-25°C. This injection is distributed by Hospira, Inc. in Lake Forest, IL.*
