Clindamycin Injection is a medication used for IM or IV use. It comes in a single-dose vial with a strength of 900 mg per 6 mL. The container closure is not made with natural rubber latex and the usual dosage should be checked on the package insert. A warning is given that it must be diluted before use and if given intravenously it must be filtered. Each mL contains clindamycin phosphate equivalent to 150 mg of clindamycin. It also contains other ingredients such as disodium edetate and benzyl alcohol. The medication should be stored at room temperature, between 68°F to 77°F and should not be refrigerated.
