This is a description for a medication called "Ciprofloxacin 0.3% and Dexamethasone 0.1% Otic Suspension, USP." It is used for topical use in the ear only. Each mL contains 3 mg of ciprofloxacin base and 1 mg of dexamethasone. The suspension also contains inactive ingredients such as boric acid, sodium chloride, hydroxyethyl cellulose, Tyloxapol, Acefic Acid, sodium acstats, edetate disodium, and water for injection. The pH may be adjusted using sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid. A preservative called Benzalkonium Chloride is also included. The usual dosage instructions can be found in the package insert. It should be stored at a temperature of 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) with excursions permitted between 15°C to 30°C (58°F to 86°F). It should be protected from freezing and light.
