Each 5 mL Valproic Acid Oral Solution USP contains the equivalent of 250 mg of valproic acid as the sodium salt and 0.02% alcohol contributed from the flavor. The usual dosage information is available in the accompanying prescribing information. It is recommended to store the medication at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) as per USP Controlled Room Temperature guidelines.
