URUSA is a drug capsule containing Ursodeoxycholic acid 250 mg which is meant for liver function improvement in individuals with chronic liver disease. It is intended to improve symptoms such as physical fatigue and general boredom due to hepatic dysfunction. The drug should not be taken by patients with severe biliary obstruction, radiopaque calcified gallstones, non-functional gallbladder, renal disease, hypersensitivity to the component, acute cholecystitis, pregnant or lactating women, and pediatric patients with peptic ulcer or colon and small intestine conditions such as Crohn's disease. The medication may cause side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, itching, rash, and stomach discomfort. In case of interstitial pneumonia accompanied by abnormal chest X-ray, patients should stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor. While taking the medicine, it is advised to avoid other drugs that reduce cholesterol in the bile, oral diabetes medications or antacids that may interfere with the absorption of the drug.
