Insadol is a drug used in the treatment of periodontal disease such as dental caries disease, gingivitis, and periodontitis. Each tablet contains corn sterol extract (beta sitosterol) in the quantity of 350mg. Patients who are hypersensitive to the drug or who overreact to substrates of azoic pigment, acetyl salicylic acid, or other prostaglandin should consult a doctor before taking the medicine as it may cause anaphylaxis or respiratory system overreaction. The drug should also be avoided by pregnant or breastfeeding women. The medicine should be taken as per the instructions whereas the adult person should take two tablets three times a day before meals, and as maintenance dose one tablet once three times a day before meals. The drug contains inactive ingredients such as magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal silicon dioxide, and povidone K30. The manufacturer of Insadol is P&K Frontier Marketing Corp., which is based in Palisades Park, New Jersey, USA, while the drug is made in South Korea.*
