Mucinex Cold & Flu AST-MAX is a fast dissolving liquid gel that temporarily relieves nasal congestion, headache, cough, minor aches and pains, sore throat, fever, sinus congestion and pressure. It contains Acetaminophen as a pain reliever/fever reducer, Dextromethorphan HBr as a cough suppressant, Phenylephrine HCI as a nasal decongestant, and Guaifenesin as an expectorant. This product comes with warnings for people with liver disease, heart disease, thyroid disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes, among others. It is also important not to take more than 12 liquid gels in any 24-hour period and to store it properly to avoid excessive heat.*
