The product warns against use on children under 2 months of age and on open skin wounds. It should not come into contact with eyes, ears, or the mouth, and if it does, it should be rinsed thoroughly. If skin irritation or rash occurs, a doctor should be consulted immediately. The product should be kept out of reach of children and may be harmful if swallowed. The directions involve applying enough product to cover all surfaces of the hands and rubbing until dry. Children under 6 years old should be supervised when using the product to avoid swallowing.
