This is a description of a drug product that contains ethyl alcohol as the active ingredient, with a concentration of 75%, used as an antiseptic to decrease bacteria on the skin to prevent disease. The product is recommended for repeated use but is for external use only on hands, as it is flammable, hence should be kept away from fire or flame. The user should avoid contact with broken skin as well as not inhale or ingest. If irritation and redness develop, or the condition persists for more than 72 hours, the user should stop using the product and seek medical assistance. To use the product, the user should wet their hands thoroughly with the product and rub it into the skin until dry, but the product is not recommended for infants or children under six, except under adult supervision. Inactive ingredients include water, carbomer, and triethanolamine. The product should not be stored above 105°F and may discolor some fabrics, and may also be harmful to wood finishes and plastics.*
