Hand Sanitizer (Hand Sanitizer)
This is a Drug Facts label for a hand sanitizer called "Instant Hand Sanitizer." It contains 80% alcohol and is intended to reduce bacteria when soap and water are not available. It is flammable and should be kept away from heat or flame. It is not recommended for use on children under 2 months of age or on open skin wounds. If the product gets into the eyes, they should be rinsed thoroughly with water. If irritation or rash occurs, a doctor should be consulted. The product should be kept out of reach of children, and if swallowed, medical attention should be sought immediately. To use, enough product should be placed on hands to cover all surfaces and rubbed together until dry. The inactive ingredients include glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, and purified water USP.
