This is a description of a 10z (28 g) tube of Original Ointment with Moisturizing Aloe. It is a first aid antibiotic ointment used to prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns. It contains Bacirach (500 units/g) and several inactive ingredients like aloe vera gel, light mineral oil and petrolatum. The ointment should be applied to the affected area 1-3 times daily and may be covered with a sterile bandage. The user should not use the ointment in the eyes or over large areas of the body. They should consult a doctor before using the ointment in serious burns, deep or puncture wounds, or animal bites. The ointment should not be used for more than a week unless directed by a doctor. If the condition persists or gets worse, medical attention should be sought. If swallowed, the user should contact a Poison Control Center right away. The ointment should be stored at 16°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). Lot number and expiration date are available on the crimp of the tube.*
