This is a drug fact sheet for Regular Strength Stomach Relief chewables that contain Bismuth subsalicylate. These chewables can be used to provide relief from upset stomach due to indigestion, heartburn, nausea, fullness, gas, and belching. These chewables can also aid in providing relief from diarrhea. However, these chewables should not be used if an individual has an ulcer, a bleeding problem, is taking any anticoagulation drugs, or has bloody or black stool. Additionally, if an individual is under the age of 12 or is pregnant or breastfeeding, they should consult a doctor before taking the chewables. The chewables might cause temporary, but harmless, darkening of stool and/or the tongue. If the symptoms worsen or last more than two days, one should stop using the product and consult a doctor.
