Fludeoxyglucose F 18 Injection, USP is a diagnostic solution that is used for intravenous injection only. It comes in a 30mL multiple-use vial with a concentration range of 10-100 mCi/mL at the end of synthesis, and it has a shelf life of 12 hours after the end of synthesis. The solution is sterile, non-pyrogenic, and contains deoxy-2 [18F] fluoro-D-glucose 0.37–37.0 GBq (10-100 mCi) of no barrier added 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-D-glucose at EOS, [72 meq of citrate ions. It should be stored at 25°C (77°F) with excursions allowed to 15-30°C (56-86°F) according to USP controlled room temperature. It must be stored upright in a shielded container, and doses should be handled and withdrawn aseptically. The solution has a half-life of 109.7 minutes, and the manufacturer is Hamamatsu/Queen's Pet Imaging Center located in Honolulu, HI.
