Permethrin 5% Cream is a medication for topical use only. It comes in a 60gm tube and is applied by massaging into the skin from the neck to soles of the feet. The cream should be washed off after 8 to 14 hours. This medication cannot be transferred to any other person than the patient for whom it was indicated. It should be noted that this medication is not available for transfer according to federal law. The packaging includes details like NDC code, batch and lot numbers, and expiration date.
