This is a drug fact sheet for a hand sanitizer gel containing 70% ethyl alcohol. The active ingredient is used as an antiseptic to help reduce bacteria that can cause disease. It is intended for external use only and should be kept away from heat or flame. The sanitizer should not be used in the eyes and if contact does occur the eyes should be thoroughly rinsed with water. Children should be supervised when using the product. If irritation or redness develops and persists for more than 72 hours, a doctor should be consulted. The product should be stored at 20° to 25° C (68° to 77°F) and may discolor certain fabrics. The inactive ingredients include water, glycerin, isopropyl myristate, and various polymers and fragrances. The product is packaged by Waco Bottling Co. and is a non-sterile topical solution.*
