This is a drug facts label for a medication called "W", which contains Menthol 5.00% as a topical analgesic. It is intended for temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, arthritis, strains, bruises, and sprains. There are warnings to not use on damaged or broken skin, avoid contact with eyes, and not to bandage tightly. If rash or irritation develops and lasts, the condition worsens, or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days, seek medical attention. The medication should be kept out of reach of children and if swallowed, medical attention is necessary. The directions state to apply not more than 3 to 4 times daily to affected areas for adults and children 2 years of age and older. Children under 2 years of age should consult a doctor.
