This is a description for a topical anesthetic patch. The active ingredients in the patch are Lidocaine (4%) and Menthol (1%). It is used for the temporary relief of pain. The patch should only be used externally and should not be applied to irritated or swollen skin, puncture wounds, or wounds/damaged skin. The patch should not be used for more than one week without consulting a doctor. Serious burns have been reported with products of this type. The patch should not be applied to wounds or damaged skin and should not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. Tight bandaging or applying local heat should be avoided. It should not be used at the same time as other topical analgesics. Use should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted if the condition worsens, redness or irritation develops, symptoms persist or reoccur after 7 days, or signs of skin injury occur. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult a healthcare professional before use. The patch should be kept out of reach of children and if swallowed, medical help should be sought. Directions for use include cleaning and drying the affected area, removing the backing of the patch, applying the exposed portion of the patch to the affected area, and using two patches for up to 24 hours. Children under 12 years of age should consult a doctor. The patch should be stored in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.
