Docosanol 10% (Docosanol 10 Percent Cream Ene 1)
Docosanol 10% Cream is a cold sore/fever blister treatment that helps to shorten the healing time of cold sores. It contains 10% docosanol, which can also reduce symptoms such as tingling, pain, itching, and burning. This cream is effective when used at the very start of a cold sore outbreak, at the first sign of a tingle, redness, bump, or itch. It is FDA approved and can be used by adults and children 12 years and over. To apply the cream, use it five times a day directly on the cold sore until it is healed. Cosmetics such as lipstick can be applied over the cream, but it is recommended to use a separate applicator to avoid spreading the infection.*
