AROAMAS step 1 is a transdermal nicotine patch aimed at helping smokers quit smoking. The box contains 90 patches in a 75mm size. The active ingredient in the patch is 18% nicotine. The patches come in three steps, with Step 1 containing 21mg of nicotine and to be used by individuals who smoke more than ten cigarettes per day. Step 2 contains 14mg of nicotine and is for smokers who smoke ten or fewer cigarettes per day, and it should be used for six weeks. Step 3 contains 7mg of nicotine and should be used for two weeks before stopping. The patch should be worn for 24 hours on dry, clean, and hairless skin, and a new patch should be applied at the same time every day. The patch should not be cut, and only one patch should be worn at a time. The product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with heart disease, high blood pressure not controlled with medication, stomach ulcer or diabetes, irregular heartbeat, allergies to adhesive tape, or skin problems. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use if the individual is using a prescription medicine for depression or asthma. If skin redness caused by the patch does not disappear after four days, or if the individual experiences an irregular heartbeat or palpitations, they should see a doctor. Lastly, the patch should be removed before an MRI procedure.*
