Soldier's Choice is a topical solution that relieves itching caused by nonpoisonous insect bites such as chiggers, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, fire ants, and minor stings. It also repels chiggers. The active ingredient in the solution is precipitated sulfur USP of 10% concentration, and the rest of the ingredients are inert. It is cautioned to keep this out of reach of children, and it is recommended to read the back panel for additional precautions. The solution is intended for adults and children over 2 years of age, and it should be applied topically as directed. It is not intended for use on mucous membranes or prolonged use. If an irritation develops, stop using the solution and consult a doctor. It should also be kept out of reach of children and disposed of carefully.*

The active ingredient is Benzocane 5% that is effective in treating discomfort due to non-poisonous insects. The product is not recommended for children under two years old and prolonged use is not recommended. The directions for use suggest applying the product topically to children over the age of two and to the skin under all areas of tight clothing and around all openings in outer clothing for chiggers' repellency. Re-application is necessary after sweating. The insect repellent contains Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Purified Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Citric Acid, and Stearyl Triethanolamine among other ingredients.
