Begin using the patch on your quit dayIf you smoke more than 10 cigarettes perday,use the following schedule below
Weeks 1-4
step1 Use one 21 mgpatch / day
Weeks 5-6
step2 Use one 14 mg patch / day
Weeks 7-8
step3 Use one 7 mgpatch / day
lf you smoke 10 or less cigarettes per day,start with Step2 for 6 weeks, then step 3 for2 weeks Apply one new patch every 24 hourson skin that is dry,clean and hairless.Remove backing from patch andimmediately press onto skin, Hold for 10seconds.Wash hands after applying orremoving patch,Save pouch to use for patch disposal.Dispose of the used patches by folding stickyends together and putting in pouch.The used patch should be removed and anew one applied to a different skin site atthe same time each day.if you have vivid dreams, you may removethe patch at bedtime and apply a new one inthe morning.
Do not wear more than one patch at a time.Do not cut patch in half or into smailerpieces.Do not leave patch on for more than 24hours because it may imitate your skin andloses strength after 24 hours.To avoid p¶ssible burns, remove patchbefore undergoing any MRl (magneticresonance imaging)procedures.It is important to complete treatment, if youfeel youneed to use the patch for a longerperiod to keep from smoking, taik to yourhealth care provider.
