NDC 0273-7007-16 is a topical APF gel used to prevent dental caries. However, the product should be kept out of reach of children as swallowing it can be dangerous and even cause permanent discoloration of children's developing teeth. The gel should only be used by dental professionals, and not intended for home use. Additionally, individuals with hypersensitivity to fluoride should avoid its use. To apply, the gel should be placed in the applicator tray and then thoroughly air-dried teeth before being inserted in the mouth for one to four minutes. The treatment should not be swallowed, and the mouth should not be rinsed, eaten or drunk for at least 30 minutes after application. The APF gel is available in a bottle with up to 68 individual applications and must be stored at controlled room temperature.*
