This is a description of a medication called Amcinonide used for dermatologic purposes only. The medication contains 1 mg amcinonide in a cream base that includes emulsifying wax, glycerin, Isopropyl palmitate, lactic acid, purified water and sorbitol solution 70%. The medication is applied 2-3 times daily. It comes in a tube that is sealed with a cap that is punctured for use. The medication is manufactured by Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd in Israel and distributed by Taro Pharmaceuticals U.S.A, Inc in Hawthorne. Amcinonide is a dermatologic ointment containing 1mg of amcinonide per gram. It should be applied 2 to 3 times a day and is for dermatologic use only, not for ophthalmic use. The ointment contains benzyl alcohol, butylated hydroxyanisole, citric acid anhydrous, emulsifying wax, propyl galate, propylene glycol, and white petrolatum. The tube should be stored between 20°C-25°C (68°F-77°F) and kept protected from freezing. The medication should be kept out of the reach of children. The tube seal can be punctured by removing the cap, placing the puncture port on the tube, and then pushing the cap until the tube is punctured.
