Norepinephrine Bitartrate Injection, USP is a potent drug used for intravenous infusion only. Each vial contains 4 mg/4 mL (1 mg/mL) of norepinephrine bitartrate, with usual dosage and dilution information provided in the package insert. The drug helps control blood pressure but requires close monitoring while administering, avoiding extravasation. The drug comes in single-dose vials, and the unused portion should be discarded, protected from light. Do not use if the solution is pinkish or darker than slightly yellow or has a precipitate, nor with iron salts, alkalies, or oxidizing agents. Store between 20°C-25°C (68°F-77°F).*
