This is a description of a blood bag system developed by TERUMO® with an integral filter to reduce leukocytes in whole blood. The bag system comes with a diversion blood sampling arm and CPD solution with Optisol Red Cell Preservative for collection of 500mL of blood. Each unit contains a collection bag with 70mL of anticoagulant and a satellite bag containing 111mL of Optisol Red Cell Preservative Solution. The anticoagulant solution contains Dextrose, Sodum Gitrats, Clire Acld, and Monobasic Sodum Phosphate. The Optisol Red Cell Preservative Solution contains Sodum Chioride, Dextrose, Manitol, and Adenine. The bag system has a sterile, non-pyrogenic fluid path, and should not be used unless solutions are clear. The system can be stored at temperatures (15.30 G/ 59.65°) for up to 30 days after removing the cover film and sealing with an adhesive tape. There are also instructions for use.
