This is a drug fact label for a bismuth subsalicylate product used to relieve upset stomach, indigestion, nausea, gas, belching, diarrhea and heartburn. Adults and children 12 years and over can take 1 dose (30mL) every 1/2 to 1 hour as needed, up to 8 doses in 24 hours for diarrhea but not more than 2 days. It is not recommended for children under 12 years and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor. It contains an inactive ingredient list, precautionary statements with warnings, and contact information for product inquiries. It is comparable to Pepto-BismolĀ® but not its product.*
