This is an over-the-counter antacid and anti-gas oral suspension medication used to relieve symptoms such as heartburn, sour stomach, and indigestion. It is comparable to MAALOX regular strength and contains aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone. The label warns not to use if the tamper-evident band is missing or broken, and to consult a doctor before use if the person is taking prescriptions or has kidney disease, a magnesium-restricted diet, is pregnant or breast-feeding. It also indicates that the maximum dosage should not exceed four doses in a 24-hour period and not be used for more than two weeks. Inactive ingredients include benzyl alcohol, butylparaben, and propylparaben.*
