Pouch (Lidocaine Plus Menthol Pouch V5)
This is a drug fact label for a patch containing lidocaine (4%) and menthol (1%) that provides temporary relief for minor pain. The product should not be used if the pouch is damaged or opened and only one patch should be used at a time. The patch should not be used on cut, initiated or swollen skin, on puncture wounds, or for more than one week without consulting a doctor. The product should not be applied to wounds or damaged, broken, or irritated skin, and should not come into contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. It should not be bandaged tightly, and local heat (such as heating pads) should not be applied to the area of use. Once used, the patch should be disposed of safely so that the product is kept away from children and pets. If the condition worsens, redness is present or inflammation develops, medical attention should be sought. The patch should be applied to clean and dry affected areas, and the backing should be gently pulled and removed before application. Two patches should not be used in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. This patch provides immediate pain relief and desensitizes aggravated nerves.*
