Hydrocortisone (1137 Hydro Cort)
This is a drug facts sheet for Hydrocortisone Cream 1%, which is produced for the relief of minor skin irritation, itching, and rashes due to eczema, insect bites, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, soaps, detergents, cosmetics, jewelry, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis. It also provides relief for external gentle, feminine, and anal itching. This product should not be used in the eyes, for diaper rash or for women with vaginal discharge. If the condition worsens or persists for more than 7 days, a doctor should be consulted. The directions are to apply it to the affected area no more than 3-4 times daily for adults and children 2 years of age and older; also children under 12 should consult a doctor before using it for anal itching. The inactive ingredients included are Ceteareth-20, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Chlorocresol, Disodium EDTA, Mineral Oil, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Metabisulfite, Water, and White Petrolatum.
