This solution should be used in 10-100 mg/5 mL doses and should not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours. It is sugar-free, alcohol-free, and dye-free. This solution should be kept out of children's reach due to the fact that it may be habit-forming, and overdosing can lead to serious side effects. This solution is used to treat coughing due to minor throat and bronchial irritation but may also be a symptom of a serious condition.
