CVS Hemorrhoidal Ointment is a medicated formula that provides prompt relief from painful burning, itching, and discomfort of hemorrhoids. It also protects irritated tissue and temporarily shrinks swollen hemorrhoidal tissue. The ointment is for external and/or intrarectal use, and when using for intrarectal use, it is recommended to cleanse the area, lubricate the applicator, and gently insert into the rectum. The ointment contains active ingredients such as mineral oil, petrolatum, and phenylephrine HCI. It also contains beeswax, benzoic acid, and other inactive ingredients.
