This product is a benzocaine 20% topical anesthetic used for temporary relief of pain and itching. It comes in ointment form and should be applied to the affected area up to four times daily for adults and children over two years of age. However, it is advised to consult a physician if it needs to be used for children under two years of age. The product has several warnings such as avoiding contact with mucus membranes or eyes, keeping it out of reach of children, discontinuing use if symptoms persist beyond seven days, and contacting a physician before using if pregnant or breastfeeding.
