It is intended to relieve occasional constipation (irregularity) and provides comfortable, cramp-free relief. The drug may cause effects within 2 to 6 hours of use. The warning section specifies that one should ask a doctor before use if they have kidney disease, are following a magnesium-restricted diet, stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting, or in case of a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 14 days.
