This is an ointment with Vitamins A&D in a petrolatum base used for general skin care. It is hypoallergenic and has been tested by dermatologists. The active ingredient is white petrolatum USP, which is a skin protectant used to treat and prevent diaper rash, seal out wetness, and protect and relieve chapped and cracked skin or lips. It helps prevent and protect chafed skin or minor skin irritations associated with diaper rash. The ointment should not be used on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns. The directions for diaper rash include changing wet and soiled diapers promptly, cleansing the diaper area and allowing it to dry, and applying the ointment as needed.
