BiteMD is an external analgesic and antiseptic product, made by Wisconsin Pharmacal Company. It works immediately after application to soothe insect bites or stings, such as from bees, wasps, mosquitoes, ticks, hornets, ants, fire ants, deerflies, chiggers, sand fleas, and horseflies. The product contains active ingredients such as Benzocaine, Camphor, and Phenol which relieve pain, itching, and infection. The product should only be applied externally and not over a large area of skin or on deep wounds, animal bites, or serious burns. The label gives specific directions for use and precautions, and warns of the dangers of ingesting the product or getting it into the eyes. If symptoms persist for more than seven days, a doctor should be consulted.*
