This is a description of a dental gel called "Perfect Choice 1.23% APF Topical Gel Strawberry" which is intended for professional use only. It is used to prevent dental caries and contains 1.23% fluoride ions in 0.1 molar phosphoric acid. It is to be applied to clean, dry teeth in an applicator tray or through a swab application. Patients should bite down for one to four minutes before removing the tray(s) and expectorating excess gel. The gel should not be used on patients allergic to fluoride as well as those with porcelain or ceramic restorations. Additionally, patients should not eat, drink, or rinse for at least 30 minutes after the treatment. The product is supplied in a thixotropic gel and comes with up to 68 individual applications in one bottle.*
